Natalia Sobczak is Professor and Head of the Department of Metallurgical Processes at the Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Sciences of Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow and Professor at the Lukasiewicz Institute of Precision Mechanics in Warsaw. She obtained her degrees in materials science (PhD degree at the Sankt Petersburg Technical University, Russia in 1994 and Habilitation at the Polish Academy of Sciences in 2005). Nominated as Titular Professor by the President of the Republic of Poland in 2010. Research fellow at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, USA (1984-1985) and visiting professor at Osaka University, Japan (2000-2001).Prof. N. Sobczak is associated editor of Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance, Chairperson of Cast Metal Matrix Composites Working Group at the World Foundry Organization (since 2001) and the Member of Int. Scientific Committees on High Temperature Capillarity (since 1994) and Subsecond Thermophysics (since 2013).  She has a world renowned reputation in high-temperature liquid state materials science with special attention to investigation of high-temperature phenomena in liquid-assisted processes (metal casting, joining, additive manufacturing, synthesis of metal matrix and ceramic matrix composites). Among others she has established the Centre for High Temperature Studies at the Foundry Research Institute in Krakow, Poland. Her research contributions include over 400 publications, 80 national and international projects (e.g. financed by European Space Agency, European Commission, United Nations Organization, Japan Society for Promotion Science, U.S.-Poland Maria Sklodowska-Curie Joint Fund), 18 patents and several prestigious national and international awards (e.g. Gold Cross of Merit by the President of Poland, Gold Medals BRUSSELS EUREKA at the Belgian and Int. Trade Fair for Technological Innovations; Silver Medal at Int. Exhibition of Inventions, Geneva-Palexpo; 1st Prize Award by the Ministry of Industry of Poland in the category “The Polish Product of the Future”; 1st Prize Award at Kaohsiung Int. Invention and Design EXPO, Taiwan;  FOSECO Golden Cup Award for the best paper; the Best Paper Award from American Ceramic Society).

Prof. Krzysztof Galos, Director of the Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences

Dr Klara Ramm graduated from the Faculty of Precision Mechanics at the Warsaw University of Technology. She also holds an Executive MBA diploma. She obtained a doctorate in technical sciences in the specialization of environmental engineering. She completed post-graduate studies at the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw, as well as studies conducted by HEC (School of Management) in Paris and the Warsaw School of Economics. For several years she has been associated with the environmental protection sector, especially water and sewage management, gaining experience in Warsaw waterworks, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, the National Water Management Board, Veolia. Since 2006, she has been actively cooperating with the Polish Waterworks Chamber of Commerce. She represents the Polish water and sewage industry in the EurEau federation, which brings together the European community of this sector. As a member of the EurEau General Assembly, she participates in activities to protect water resources and improve the functioning of water supply and sewage services in the EU. She is a member of the Water Supply and Sewerage Technical Committee at the Polish Committee for Standardization, a member of the Board of the Horizon Europe Mission for healthy oceans, seas, coastal and inland waters.

Mr. Ludwig Hermann is the President of the European Sustainable Phosphorus Platform (ESPP) and specialist in Proman Management GmbH. He has over 35 years of experience as technology and business development consultant on 3 continents; co-inventor of ash decontamination and phosphorus recovery processes; co-founder CTO and CEO of ASH DEC AG; organised and supervised design, engineering and assembling of ASH DEC’s pilot plant; conceived and managed test programs and co-authored the patents EP 191803, EP 2016203, WO 20125035, WO 2013190116, WO 20135020, WO 20145029, WO 2015189333.

Dr. Edyta Łaskawiec is an assistant professor at the Department of Environmental Biotechnology, Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Energy, Silesian University of Technology. She is an academic teacher and science trainer. Since 2015, she has been popularising knowledge in her research specialty, organizing events including: Scientists' Night of the Silesian University of Technology and the Silesian Science Festival. She works to support the development of young scientists. She actively conducts research in the field of circular economy solutions. Shee runs a popular science profile on social media as wastewater_based.doctor.

Idiano D’Adamo is an Associate Professor of Management Engineering at the Department of Computer, Control, and Management Engineering of Sapienza University of Rome, where he teaches Business Management, Economics of Technology and Management and Economics and Management of Energy Sources and Services. Idiano was among world's top 2% scientists for third consecutive year.He received the Master of Science in Management Engineering in 2008 and the Ph.D. in Electrical and Information Engineering in 2012. Both from the University of L’Aquila. He worked in the University of Sheffield, the National Research Council of Italy, Politecnico di Milano, University of L'Aquila and Unitelma Sapienza - University of Rome.In August 2015, he obtained the Elsevier Atlas Award with a work published in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews. He collaborates continuously with several journals: Editor in Chief (Sustainability), Subject Editor (Sustainable Production and Consumption), Associate Editor (Sustainable Development, Environment, Development and Sustainability, Global Journal of Flexible Systems Management, Frontiers in Sustainability), Editorial Board Member (e.g., Scientific Reports, Sustainable Operations and Computers), Guest Editor (e.g., Journal of Cleaner Production, Current Opinion in Green and Sustainable Chemistry) and Reviewer for about 100 journals indexed in Scopus. During its academic career, Idiano D'Adamo published 135 papers in the Scopus database, reaching an hindex of 43. He has participated in scientific research projects (PRIN2022 “Protecting the Environment: Advances in Circular Economy (PEACE)”, PNRR-PE “Made-in-Italy circolare e sostenibile”, Horizon 2020 “Star ProBio”, Life "Force of the Future"), has collaborated with relevant national institutes (MATTM, CNBBSV, SVIMEZ) and has written for major national newspapers (Formiche, il Messaggero). His current research interests are bioeconomy, circular economy, green energy, sustainability and waste management.

Prof. Marzena Smol is the Head of the Division of Biogenic Raw Materials at the Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences (IGSMiE PAN). She completed a master’s degree in Environmental Protection at Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa and a master’s degree in International Project Management at the Częstochowa University of Technology. She completed the PhD in technical sciences – Environmental Engineering, 2015, Częstochowa University of Technology. Manager and contractor in national and international projects in the field of biogenic raw materials management in the context of the implementation of the principles of sustainable development (SD), circular economy (CE) and the strategies for the Green Deal in the water and sewage, fertilizer and agri-food sectors. Founder of the Division of Biogenic Raw Materials at IGSMiE PAN, member of the Scientific Council of IGSMiE PAN. She participated in the work on the preparation of the Roadmap Transformation towards circular economy in Poland (Ministry of Development). Holder of the Minister’s Scholarship for Outstanding Young Scientists.

Konstantinos Tsagarakis is a Professor of "Economics of Environmental Science and Technology" in the Department of Production Engineering and management at the Technical University of Crete. He holds a degree from the department of Civil Engineering of the Democritus University of Thrace, a BA degree from the Department of Economics of the University of Crete and a Ph.D. Degree in Public Health from the School of Civil Engineering from the University of Leeds, UK. His research interests include: circular economy, technical–economic project evaluation; environmental and energy economics; public health economics; environmental and energy behavior; big data; online behavior; environmental performance of firms; quantitative methods. His research work has been published in more than 100 papers in refereed journals and has been cited in more than 3000 papers by others (according to Scopus database; h-index: 29), more than 5600 in google scholar. He is Specialty Chief Editor in Circular Economy Frontiers in Sustainability, Associate Editor in Water Policy Journal, Subject Editor in Sustainable Consumption and Production and has served as Guest Editor in several other journals: Water Science and Technology: Water Supply; Sustainability; Big Data and Cognitive Computing; Water, and Renewable Energy.

Dr. Kaliyan Mathiyazhagan currently working as a chairperson – Research Centre and Associate Professor, Thiagarajar School of Management, Madurai, Tamil Nadu.  He is an associate editor in Business Strategy and the Environment (Wiley) – IF: 13.4, Management Decision (Emerald)- IF: 4.9 and Environment, Development and Sustainability Journal (Springer) with an impact factor of 4.1. Dr Magdalena Głogowska is a graduate of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Silesia in Katowice, majoring in Political Science, specialization - local government, and also completed postgraduate studies in Environmental Management at the University of Economics in Katowice and Postgraduate Studies in Public Relations at the University of Warsaw. In 2016, she obtained a PhD in social sciences in the field of environmental sociology. She is a member of program committees for the Horizon Europe Program (Cluster 5: Climate, Energy, Mobility, Cluster 6: Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment). She represents the country at committee meetings with the European Commission, contributing to agreeing on the scope and conditions of work programs. She performs a function of Horizon Europe National Contact Point for Clusters 5 and 6. Magdalena Głogowska participated in the implementation of many research and development projects financed from national and EU funds.

Prof. Maris Klavins works at the University of Latvia, Department of Environmental Sciences. He obtained his scientific degree in chemistry of biologically active compounds at the Moscow State University in 1986 but a habilitation degree at the University of Latvia in 1994. He is a member of the Academy of Sciences of Latvia, coordinator of International Humic Substances Research Society (IHSS), head of Natural Resources Reserch Centre. Research interests are related to studies of natural organic matter, wetlands and bogs, environmental pollution problems, circular economy and low carbon development.

Dr. Jolita Kruopienė is a professor and researcher at Kaunas University of Technology, Institute of Environmental Engineering. She analysed sediment – water interactions during her PhD research. The current research interests include chemical risk management, management of natural resources and waste, environmental impact assessment. She is an editor-in-chief of Environmental Research, Engineering and Management journal. A board member of municipal waste management company, a member of advisory committee for registration of plant protection products in Lithuania.

Prof. M.N.V. Prasad is currently working as Professor of Environmental Biotechnology & Lecturer, Leader at University of Hyderabad, India. He received his PhD in Botany from Lucknow University, Lucknow. In past he worked as Lecturer at North Eastern Hill University, Lecturer & Reader at University of Hyderabad. He is also serving as reviewer in many scientific journals. He is professional member of National Institute of Ecology New Delhi, India, Bioenergy Society of India, New Delhi, Indian Network for Soil Contamination Research, New Delhi. He also completed 20 research projects. He has published 179 articles in peer review journals in which contributed as author/co-author. He supervised 17 PhD and 7 M.Phil students, all students received award in his supervision.
